Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Two years of strength training experience. Experience with back squatting. Able to perform a deep back squat with at least 75% of bodyweight.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Insufficient training experience. Collapsing knee joint in the squat test. Not Able to perform the needed squat dept. Never performed drop jumps before.

| The primary endpoint is to compare increases in maximum strength across the three groups. Maximum strength is assessed using two exercises: the deep squat and the leg press. In addition, the tests are conducted both dynamically and isometrically under different conditions to distinguish between these two types of strength. Dynamic maximum strength in the squat is determined using a 1RM test, while isometric maximum strength is measured at two different joint angles (110° and 90° knee angles) on a multi-press machine. To do this, the subjects step onto a force plate, and the bar is secured at the appropriate height. The strength data are derived from the measured values of the force plate. Testing on the leg press follows the same principle. In this case, the subjects sit in a leg press, and the force plate is attached to the footplate of the machine. The subjects were tested in three sets until no further increase in force was recorded. | — |

For this purpose, the countermovement jump was used for the slow stretch-shortening cycle, the drop jump for the fast stretch-shortening cycle, and the squat jump without countermovement.
