Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: – Periprosthetic femoral fracture (B2 + B3) – osteosynthesis or revision arthroplasty

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: – patient died during the hospital stay

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Time to first mobilisation after surgery. The primary endpoint is measured in hours between the end of surgery and the time of mobilisation from the hospital bed. The dates and hours are collected retrospectively from the patient’s medical record.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
• Transfusion rate • Revision rate (surgical) • Complications (pneumonia, urinary tract infection, thrombosis, ulcers) • Length of hospital stay • Time to surgery • Documented mobilization prior to discharge/transfer
