Psychological Basic Needs (Offline): assessed once during data collection using the German short version of the Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction and Frustration Scale (BPNSFS) as part of an online questionnaire. Psychological Basic Needs (Online): assessed once during data collection using study-developed items (based on the German short version of the Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction and Frustration Scale) as part of an online questionnaire. Usage type and motives: assessed once during data collection using study-developed items (based on previous studies) as part of an online questionnaire. Digital mental health literacy: Instrument assessing digital health literacy in the context of mental health problems, including the ability to find, understand, evaluate, and apply health-related information online.
