Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - No injuries or surgeries of the lower extremities in the last 6 months; no acute systemic infections - BMI < 25 - No cardiovascular or cardiopulmonary pre-existing conditions - Sporting experience: at least 2 years of active participation in training and match play for a football club of any league level

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Injuries and/or surgical procedures to the lower extremities within the last 6 months prior to study participation - Pregnancy - Acute systemic infections

MeasureTime frame
WHAT: The aim of the study is to examine whether individualized, foot-shape–dependent insoles cause measurable changes in the timing organization of muscle activation and in biomechanical movement parameters during dynamic sporting tasks. WHEN: Measurements take place on one day (4 hours). The measurement day is either between April 1 and April 2, 2026 (pilot study) or between July 6 and July 10, 2026 (main study). HOW: Using EMGs for muscle activity, markers for knee kinematics, a force plate for kinetics, and pressure-measuring insoles.
