| Questionnaires assessing BFRB symptoms (online-survey): - Skin-Picking Scale–Revised (SPS-R; Mehrmann et al., 2017) + 2 additional items to assess the skin-picking type (automatic and focused) - Massachusetts General Hospital Hairpulling Scale (MGH-HPS; Keuthen et al., 2010) - Nail-Biting Scale (self-developed based on the SPS-R) Disgust and contamination questions (after touching each object): Participants rate the following items on a scale from 1 (not at all/none) to 7 (very/high): - “How disgusting did you find touching this object?” - “How disgusting would it be to put this object in your mouth?” - “If you were to eat or lick this object, how likely is it that you would get sick?” - “How strong is your desire to clean your hands?” | — |
