Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who have undergone thymectomies, VATS thymectomies, conventional/open thymectomies, those with myasthenia gravis, thymoma/thymic pathology; complete clinical data available; available clinical follow-up data

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Incomplete data sets, revision surgeries, emergency surgeries, combined procedures, no available clinical follow-up data

MeasureTime frame
The following outcomes will be studied from January 1, 2005, to December 31, 2025: 1. Diagnostic yield of thymectomy - Proportion of thymectomies leading to a definitive histopathological diagnosis; assessed after histopathological evaluation. 2. Impact an therapeutic management - Proportion of cases in wich the results of thymectomy led to a change in patient management; assessed after case review/ therapy decision.

MeasureTime frame
1. Concordance between preoperative imaging and histopathology - Comparison of preoperative imaging with histopathological findings; assessed after surgery and pathology evaluation. 2. Operative safety profile -Perioperative complications, blood loss, and operative duration; assessed perioperatively until hospital discharge. 3. Comparison of surgical approaches - VATS vs. open thymectomy regarding clinical outcomes; assessed after surgery. 4. Patient- and disease-related predictors for quality of care - Influence of patient and disease characteristics on clinical outcomes; assessed retrospectively from available data. 5. Time intervals - Intervals between diagnosis, surgery, and changes in therapy; assessed retrospectively from hospital records and follow-up documentations.
