Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Heart rate variability (HRV) will be used as the primary outcome to objectively assess recovery. HRV reflects the balance between parasympathetic and sympathetic activity and is therefore a reliable indicator for measuring recovery after exercise. HRV will be assessed at each of the four measurement time points. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The following secondary outcomes will be assessed: Lactate (Lactate Scout) Respiratory rate (manual measurement / chest strap) Fatigue/exhaustion (FSS) Pain perception (NRS) Subjective well-being (WHO-5) Mood (BDI, HAMD, PANAS, PHQ-9) Functional level and quality of life (GAF) Physical activity (IPAQ) Cognitive performance (Trail Making Test A/B) Vital signs (blood pressure monitor, body weight scale) QT variability (exploratory) All parameters will be assessed at each measurement time point. | — |
