Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Age = 18 years -Collection of a blood or urine culture during the emergency department visit -Outpatient management (discharge from the emergency department) -Ability to provide informed consent -Availability for follow-up (telephone contact available)

- Time interval between physician order and dispatch of the culture to the laboratory - Type of positive microbiological findings and frequency of result communication to the affected patients - Percentage of cases with therapeutic consequences in the emergency department (frequency and type of antibiotic therapies) -Percentage of outpatient patients in whom the microbiological result (positive or negative) led to a therapeutic or clinical consequence within 7 days (e.g., initiation, modification, or discontinuation of antibiotic therapy; deliberate withholding of antibiotics in the case of a negative result; repeat medical consultation or recommendation for reassessment) - Outcomes: return visits to the emergency department within 7 days; additional physician contact within 7 days related to the test results; duration of antibiotic therapy (assessed via review of the documentation system and telephone follow-up)	—
