Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Age 3;0–6;0 years - First language: German - Non-verbal IQ = 85 - Bilateral normal peripheral hearing (percentage hearing loss < 20%; Boenninghaus & Röser, 1973) - Children with pDLD: diagnosis according to standard criteria for phonological speech sound disorders (german S3 guideline for the treatment of speech developmental disorders)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Neuropsychiatric disorders - Childhood apraxia of speech - Lack of parental consent - History of neurosurgical interventions - Use of medications affecting brain activity

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in scores (T-values) on the Patholinguistic Diagnostic of Speech Development Disorders (PDSS), subtest Word Comprehension (phonological distractors), between T0 (study inclusion) and T1 (6 months after therapy onset) across intervention groups, as an objective behavioral measure specifically reflecting the integrity of phonological representations.

- Comparison of PDSS scores (T-values) between groups also at T2 (12 months after study inclusion = T0) - Differences in Percentage of Consonants Correct (PCC) at T1 and T2 between the three intervention groups - Differences in the number of resolved phonological processes at T1 and T2 between the intervention groups
