Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: requirement for intensive care treatment, voluntary participation, written informed consent following appropriate information, sufficient German language proficiency

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: inability to provide informed consent (due to linguistic, psychological or somatic reasons), employees involved in the conduct of the study, pre-existing or suspected polyneuropathy or myopathy, prior immobilization; secondary: withdrawal of consent, if applicable by a previously designated representative, contraindications to specific study procedures (e.g. anticoagulation)
