Chronic diseases of the respiratory system were defined according to ICD-10 codes (in particular J40–J47, J60–J70, J81–J84, and J90–J99), supplemented by Cystic Fibrosis (E84), pulmonary neoplasms (C34), and pulmonary vascular diseases (I26–I28). In addition, sleep-related breathing disorders (G47.3), such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea, were included due to their relevance for pneumological care and tertiary preventive interventions. Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patient at the Thorax Clinic Heidelberg Physician-diagnosed chronic respiratory disease Sufficient cognitive and language abilities to complete the questionnaire (e.g., inability to complete the questionnaire independently or insufficient proficiency in German)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: No consent / patient refuses to complete the questionnaire
