Group 1: The study includes 38 patients with Angle Class III malocclusion who underwent a bimaxillary repositioning osteotomy (BIMAX), for each of whom a preoperative, immediate postoperative, and a 6

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University Hospital Aachen • Skeletal Angle Class III • Underwent a bimaxillary repositioning osteotomy for the first time • Previously treated with orthodontics (decompensation)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • No developmental or syndromic conditions such as cleft lip and palate • Poor image quality of X-rays • Patients who have undergone previous surgery or who have experienced facial trauma
