Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients who underwent surgery between 1 December 2023 and 30 November 2025, who reported an allergy to penicillin and/or aminopenicillin as part of their pre-operative preparation, and who received perioperative antimicrobial prophylaxis will be screened.

MeasureTime frame
Percentage of patients who, despite a history of allergy to penicillin and/or aminopenicillin, received a ß-lactam antibiotic perioperatively.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
-Frequency of allergic reactions and their severity, positive tryptase test -Frequency of postoperative complications (C. difficile infection, wound infection) -Use of reserve antibiotics since the introduction of the PEN-FAST score compared with the same period last year
