Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome measure is defined as the reduction in depressive symptoms, which is operationalised via the response rate (proportion of ‘responders’) on the Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS). Patients are classified as ‘responders’ if their MADRS score improves by 50% over the study period (change from baseline to 6 weeks after randomisation). | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The effects of the intervention on participation, empowerment and resilience, stress management, self-efficacy expectations and health-related quality of life in people with depression are considered as secondary endpoints. Potential confounding and covariates for the study objectives include the influence on study participants and reservations about the study. To minimise the influence of these factors on the study objective, transparent communication and the principle of voluntary participation are emphasised. | — |
