Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - 3 age categories (18–44, 45–60, and > 60 years) - Normal Voice Handicap Index, Vocal Fatigue Index, and Vocal Tract Discomfort scores - The last episode of pneumonia, laryngitis, or upper respiratory tract infection occurred more than 3 months ago

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Potential participants are unable to wear a mask properly during the examination; - Pregnancy in women; - Velopharyngeal insufficiency; - Acute or recent history of voice disorders; - Asthma and/or COPD; - Acute allergies affecting the upper respiratory tract; - Current smokers
