Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Planned inclusion criteria are (1) the presence of an abscess with a tendency to spread, requiring intravenous antibiotic therapy in an inpatient setting, and (2) at least one preoperative determination of PCT, CRP and leukocyte concentration.

Exclusion criteria: There are no exclusion criteria.
