Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The goal is to establish a prospective biobank for research into viral infections. This includes basic research as well as applied research aimed at detecting diseases (diagnostics), predicting their course (prognosis), and developing treatments (therapy) and preventive measures (prevention). The purpose of the biobank is thus limited to a group of diagnoses and risk cohorts, but not to a single research question or disease. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |

| - Investigation of the immune response to viral infections - Analysis of host-specific genetic determinants - Investigation of viral evolution - Comparison of acute, persistent, and chronic infection courses | — |
