Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study includes specialists with additional qualifications in acupuncture who have at least two years of clinical experience using acupuncture and who continue to perform acupuncture treatments regularly. Additionally, they must have given written consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The simulator uses a low-energy electromagnetic field for three-dimensional positioning of the needles (electromagnetic tracking, EMT). The magnetic field strength of the electromagnetic position transmitter is = 200 µT. This field is considerably below the safety limits relevant for humans. These fields are harmless to healthy individuals. A field strength of approximately 200 µT is well below the threshold that could potentially affect implantable medical devices (e.g., pacemakers, ICDs, neurostimulators), and no noticeable interference is generally expected. During operation, the transmitter is located under a silicone human model. The distance between a user with, for example, a pacemaker and the transmitter source should generally not be less thanbe at least 60 cm, which is considered safe. However, as a precautionary measure, it is recommended that users with pacemakers should avoid leaning directly over the central area of the device during usethe procedure. A moderate distance does not affect use. All participants are explicitly informed of the existing risk in advance in the information sheet and are advised of this it before the intervention begins.

The location of the needle is documented both on the skin's surface and within the tissue at commonly used acupuncture points. Its position is described in relation to the participants and to a reference value.
