Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: HIV first diagnosis Patients of the Clinic for Internal Medicine - Infectious Diseases, Auguste-Viktoria-Klinikum, Berlin
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Under 18 years of age. Patients with HIV that were treated in the clinic for other reasons.

| Statistically significant differences in disease burden at the time of first HIV-diagnosis (measured through CD4-count, viral load, CDC-classification, opportunistic infections, HIV-associated malignancies, etc.) between women and men.
