Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Healthy, most importantly, absence of debilitating neuropsychiatric, cardiovascular, bronchopulmonary diseases, warranting treatment and altering the functionality of said bodily systems. • No significant experience in the field of meditative and\or physical disciplines centring around breath control, e.g. most types of yoga. • No intention to introduce major changes to one’s routine, esp. activities related to sports, breath exercises and\or meditation, for the entire duration of the intervention. • Signing the written consent form (see Appendix). • Explicitly consenting to be notified about accidental findings.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: We strictly excluded: • Any bearer of MRI-incompatible body implants, such as pacemakers, drug pumps, cochlear implants, braces (except for retainers), screws, contraceptive coils etc. • Epileptic patients. A more lenient person-to-person approach was implemented in subjects with • A history of surgeries concerning the neurosurgical, thoracic or cardiovascular fields, • Claustrophobia, • Known pregnancy.
