Group 1: Patients who underwent epilepsy surgery at our center between 2003 and 2022 and had late-onset epilepsy (over the age of 40). Group 2: Patients with early-onset epilepsy, as well as patients

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who underwent epilepsy surgery at our center (Clinic and Polyclinic for Epileptology, or Clinic and Polyclinic for Neurosurgery at the University Hospital Bonn) between 2003 and 2022 with late-onset epilepsy (over 40 years of age). Control group: Patients with early-onset epilepsy, as well as patients with early- and late-onset epilepsy who were treated with medication only or without surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients under 18 years of age or without epilepsy
