Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Only individuals residing in Germany are eligible for the survey if a diagnosis of long COVID (ICD-10-GM U09.9) and/or chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS; ICD-10-GM G93.3) is documented in their routine administrative data prior to the start of the survey. From this population, approximately 10–15 distinct groups are formed that differ with regard to the severity of the respective disease course, as derived from analyses of routine data. Group assignment is based, for example, on healthcare utilisation, hospital admissions, or other predefined indicators. The aim of this grouping is to capture, within the study sample, the broadest possible spectrum of different severity levels of long COVID and/or CFS.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals with insufficient prior insurance coverage periods and individuals whose insurance coverage was terminated in the interim are not invited to participate in the written survey.
