Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (= 18 years) Indication for surgical spinal cord decompression Acute or chronic spinal cord pathology of traumatic, degenerative, inflammatory, or neoplastic origin Ability to provide informed consent Written informed consent for study participation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Minors Pregnancy or breastfeeding Inability to provide informed consent Refusal to participate in the study Emergency surgery without possibility of prior informed consent

MeasureTime frame
WHAT: Change in intraoperative hyperspectral perfusion and oxygenation parameters of the spinal cord WHEN: Intraoperatively at the beginning and end of decompression HOW: Contact-free hyperspectral imaging using a standardized camera system

MeasureTime frame
Correlation of intraoperative hyperspectral parameters with preoperative neurological severity and postoperative functional outcome.
