Exclusion criteria: Absence from more than 5 teaching units; failure to participate in one of the surveys

| Building on the primary project goal, the exploratory study will examine the extent to which students' interprofessional skills change as a result of attending the seminar. Data will be collected using the German version of the University of the West of England Interprofessional Questionnaire (UWE-IP-D). The four scales will be evaluated using the standardised assessment procedure. The primary endpoint is assessed based on the difference between the mean values of the four scales of the questionnaire between the pre- and post-measurement and the associated confidence intervals. The quantitative data collected is evaluated using the statistical software SPSS. The evaluation and interpretation of the UWE-IP-D follow the logic of the standardised questionnaire. In a first step, the descriptive analysis of the data, the following procedure is used: The characteristics of the participants are described on the basis of a list of frequencies. For ordinal scaled characteristics, the median, minimum and maximum are also calculated. The descriptive longitudinal comparison of the UWE-IP-D is carried out by specifying the arithmetic mean and standard deviation, as well as the respective difference. A subsequent exploratory data analysis will determine any possible changes in the data between the pre- and post-survey. More specifically, the aim is to calculate p-values coupled with confidence intervals. The number of cases is limited by the underlying university course and is estimated at approximately 40 participants. As a result, sufficient external validity cannot be assumed. This limitation of the study will be taken into account in the statistical calculations and interpretation of the data. | — |

| In line with the secondary project objective, we will examine whether and to what extent students demonstrate a change in the desired behaviour with regard to interprofessional collaboration beyond their learning success. At the end of the course, participants will be asked to write a short essay of approximately one page based on three guiding questions. The content of the text should be the possible implementation of interprofessional collaboration in a case study of their own choosing. The qualitative evaluation is carried out using a content-structuring qualitative content analysis as the primary method. The qualitative data from the essays written by the students are coded and analysed using MAXQDA software. The categories are created using a combination of open coding and subsumption in a mixed inductive-deductive manner. To ensure scientific transparency, the research team will continuously reflect on and discuss the material together. In addition, a general teaching evaluation will be carried out based on the template provided by the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University.
