| The aim of the study is to obtain initial insights into how the counseling tool is used by general practitioners in everyday clinical practice. Specifically, the study explores which medication groups MediQuit is most frequently used for; in which situations and at what point in the clinical workflow the tool is opened and applied; how long the tool is used during a counseling session; and which functions (e.g., visualizations, tapering plans) are used most often. In addition, the study examines how general practitioners assess the usefulness of the tool for structuring consultations on the topic of medication discontinuation. Furthermore, it investigates in which cases the tool is used to support communication with patients, and when it is used primarily as a reference resource for physicians, or for educational purposes. Finally, the study assesses whether the tool’s recommendations regarding medication discontinuation or continuation align with general practitioners’ clinical judgment, including consideration of patients’ preferences | — |
