Group 1: Patients and caregivers complete a baseline questionnaire at study entry. They are then provided access to the study-specific chatbot for three months. After this period, a follow-up question

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Individuals with eosinophilic esophagitis and their caregivers - Cognitive ability to read and understand written German - Willingness and ability to participate in digital questionnaires and to use the chatbot via a desktop computer or mobile device

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Lack of internet access - Inability to participate in digital applications - Severe cognitive impairment precluding chatbot use

- Change in disease-specific knowledge about eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) between baseline and 3-month follow-up, assessed using a study-specific knowledge test - Change in health-related quality of life between baseline and 3-month follow-up, measured using the WHO-5 Well-Being Index for adults and the KIDSCREEN-10 Index for adolescents

- Healthcare utilization, assessed using a study-specific questionnaire - Subjective symptom burden, assessed using a study-specific questionnaire - Treatment adherence during the study period, assessed using a visual analog scale (0–10) - Attitudes toward artificial intelligence, measured using the ATAI scale (Attitude toward Artificial Intelligence)
