Conditions

No illness/health problem is being investigated. Investigation of dietary behavior, nutritional knowledge, and motivations for following ketogenic diets, as well as determination of metabolic markers and nutritional status in healthy adults in Germany who have been following a ketogenic diet for at least 6 months.

Interventions

Group 1: Online survey followed by tests at the study center (24-hour recall, anthropometric data, blood pressure, BIA, indirect calorimetry, ultrasound, capillary blood)
further capillary blood and sensor measurements at home and second 24-hour recall Group 2: Online survey followed by self-measurement of anthropometric data (body weight/height, waist/hip circumferenc
optional capillary blood measurements at home and additional optional measurements by external providers (blood pressure, BIA, indirect calorimetry, ultrasound)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: BMI 18.5–29.9 kg/m2 Regardless of gender Resident in Germany Following a ketogenic diet for at least 6 months (self-reported) Sufficient knowledge of the German language to complete the questionnaires and nutritional assessment methods

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No consent given to participate in the study Minor age Pregnancy, breastfeeding Presence of a serious illness or acute illness at the time of examination (during examination at the study center) Diagnosed metabolic disorder or epilepsy, or use of a ketogenic diet required for nutritional therapy
