Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Planned anthracycline-based chemotherapy; written informed consent; adequate image quality for echocardiography

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pre-existing cardiomyopathy (LVEF <50%); contraindications for cardiac MRI (pacemaker, severe claustrophobia, GFR <30 ml/min); prior anthracycline therapy; pregnancy

WHAT: Change in subendocardial longitudinal strain. WHEN: 6 months post-treatment compared to baseline. HOW: Speckle tracking echocardiography (Medis Suite QStrain software)

Changes in GLS, LVEF, T1/T2 mapping values and ECV; correlation between strain parameters and MRI tissue characterization; incidence of clinically manifest cardiotoxicity.
