Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Indication for primary RSA - Range of motion of the shoulder joint >20° - Consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Pregnancy - Revision cases - Fractures of the affected joints - Lack of capacity to consent

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Kinematics and muscle activity of the upper extremity depending on body posture (type A, B, or C) preoperatively, 3 and 6 months postoperatively using optical motion capture, electromyography, and musculoskeletal computer modeling.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Movement and pain status pre-operatively, 3 and 6 months post-operatively using questionnaires (EQ-5D-5L and Constant Score).
