Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with clinically manifest opiate dependence according to ICD-10 (modern cohort) who were treated for qualified opiate withdrawal in the Department of Addiction Disorders and Psychotherapy between 2016 and 2019 - at least initially on the open ward - as well as patients over 65 years of age, also with clinically manifest opiate dependence, who were treated - also at least initially on an open ward - in the Department of Gerontopsychiatry between 2016 and 2019, and patients with a clinically manifest and specialist-validated diagnosis of opiate dependence based on the available records (historical cohort) with evaluable and readable records between 1849 and 1952.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: illegible file, file with irresolvable diagnostic contradictions, initial admission to a closed ward, no completed opiate withdrawal, but only continuous substitution.
