Conditions

Contrast-associated acute kidney injury (AKI) and deterioration of renal function, as well as iodine-induced thyroid dysfunction (especially hyperthyroidism/thyrotoxicosis up to thyrotoxic crisis) in the context of contrast-enhanced CT.

Group 1: Retrospective analysis of all patients at Heidelberg University Hospital who underwent contrast-enhanced CT with intravenous iodinated contrast during 07/2021–06/2023. Pseudonymized routine d

MeasureTime frame
Depiction of a potential correlation between renal parameters/renal health and thyroid parameters/thyroid health in patients undergoing contrast-enhanced CT before and after implementation of the updated SOP for contrast media administration. Data collection is conducted through an analysis of the patient database.
