Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Signed informed consent form - No general medical condition which represents a contraindication to wear the study specific splint for 24 hours - Full or partial dentition where intraoral splint fixation is possible - Periodontally healthy (PPD = 3mm except third molars) - No active caries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Inability to follow or comply with the study procedures - Smoking more than 10 cigarettes per day - Alcohol abuse, drug or medication addicts - Poor oral hygiene (plaque index > 20%) - Untreated periodontitis - Severe systemic disease - Diseases of the salivary glands or the oral mucosa - Uncontrolled diabetes (HbA1c >6) - Antibiotics or local antimicrobials or fluoridated mouth rinses within the last 30 days - Participation in another study - Pregnancy or lactating mothers
