Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: vocal students with healthy voices or professional singers

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: amateur singer Acute or known relevant voice disorder (clinically noticeable dysphonia). Illnesses or limitations that could impair participation in standardised voice recordings (screening using PAR-Q).

MeasureTime frame
The primary endpoint is the reliability of jitter measurement (frequency perturbation) under different standardized recording conditions (sound pressure level, pitch, measurement interval, and vowel) in healthy singing students. Jitter is an established acoustic measure of voice quality and is included in composite indices such as the Dysphonia Severity Index, so reliable measurement protocols are clinically important for objective assessment and monitoring of voice disorders

MeasureTime frame
Secondary endpoints are the absolute jitter values and their change as a function of sound pressure level, pitch, measurement interval, and vowel, in order to identify conditions under which jitter measurements are both low and stable. The aim is to derive clinically applicable recommendations for the standardization of acoustic voice diagnostics that improve the diagnostic usefulness of jitter in the assessment of vocal function, particularly in singers.
