Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Healthy adult participants, male and female, who are fully capable of making decisions and able to understand the informed consent, and who are able to reliably perform the stimulus assessments. Body Mass Index: 18 to 30
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Acute or chronic pain (including muscle soreness) - Presence of acute or chronic somatic or psychiatric conditions (based on self-report or routine examination) - Presence of MRI-specific exclusion criteria (claustrophobia, pacemakers, non-MRI-compatible metallic implants) - Participation in studies involving medication or regular medication intake (except thyroid medication, allergy medication, occasional use of painkillers, or contraceptives) - Use of painkillers within the last 24 hours before the examination - Pregnancy or breastfeeding - Acute skin condition or injury at the stimulation sites - Acute respiratory illness or symptoms - No past or current physical opioid dependence - No cardiovascular diseases - No nervous system disorders - No immune system disorders - No gastrointestinal diseases - No use of cardiotoxic medications/substances (e.g., cocaine, methamphetamine, cyclic antidepressants, calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers, digoxin)
