Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Palliative care providers: • at least two years of professional experience in specialised palliative care • variation in terms of: professional group, care setting, years of experience in the field, professional status (e.g. leadership positions), type of facility (university-affiliated / non-university), region, age and gender Stakeholders relevant to palliative care: • palliative care falls within their area of responsibility • at least two years of professional experience in the field or in dealing with palliative care-related topics • variation in terms of: age, gender and care setting

Exclusion criteria: • individuals under 18 years of age • individuals who are not able to communicate in the German language

A set of patient-centred outcome parameters and quality indicators, which have been consented by relevant specialised palliative care stakeholders, reflect the reality of specialised palliative care, and can be captured using clinical routine data and documentation and allows for comparisons of quality of care across services and settings.	—
