Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Age 20–60 years - Overweight or obesity (BMI = 25 kg/m²)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Digestive system diseases that prevent a sirtuin-rich and/or fiber-rich diet - Pregnancy - Use of medications that could interact with high-fiber products and/or products containing bioactive ingredients used in the diet

MeasureTime frame
WHAT: Change in body weight (kg) and body mass index (BMI, kg/m²) as fundamental indicators of the effectiveness of dietary weight loss interventions. WHEN: Before the start of the dietary intervention (T0) and after 6 weeks of the intervention (T1). HOW: Body weight was measured under standardized conditions using a Tanita MC-780 bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) device. Participants' height was measured using a stadiometer, and the Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated as the ratio of body weight to the square of height (kg/m²).

WHAT: Detailed body composition parameters, including fat mass, fat-free mass, muscle mass, visceral fat rating, metabolic age, and total body water content, as well as the nutritional profile and the antioxidant potential of the blood serum. WHEN: Before the start of the dietary intervention (T0) and after 6 weeks of the intervention (T1). HOW: Body composition parameters were determined by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) using the Tanita MC-780 device under standardized conditions. The nutritional profile and the antioxidant potential of the blood serum were analyzed spectrophotometrically using two methods: - DPPH assay (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) to evaluate the antioxidant capacity. - ABTS assay (2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazolin-6-sulfonic acid)) to evaluate the free radical scavenging activity.
