Interventions

Group 1: Patients undergoing general anesthesia with sevoflurane as the primary anesthetic agent. Group 2: Patients undergoing general anasthesia with propofol as the primary anesthetic agent.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients who are capable of providing informed consent, who are scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia with either sevoflurane or propofol, and who have an ASA physical status classification of I–III may be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing non-elective surgery, patients lacking capacity to give informed consent, pregnancy
