Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: OSAS (with an apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) of > 5/h)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Severe neurological disorders or alcohol or drug abuse. -Apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) of < 5/h -Patients who had discontinued CPAP therapy or who had newly diagnosed conditions or changes in medication.

The study aims to investigate the potential effects of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy on iron metabolism in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Certain parameters of iron metabolism are quantified before and after three months of CPAP therapy.
