Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Primary objective: To assess the feasibility of a follow-up study based on patient compliance Primary endpoint: • Patient compliance (adherence to therapy/self-treatment), measured by: • Recruitment rate, • Participation rate/dropout rate, • Completion rate Duration of study-related measures: Initial measurement after diagnosis, second measurement before surgery, 3-week self-treatment period starting 4-7 days after surgery, third measurement 1-7 days after the end of the self-treatment period | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Secondary objectives: Effect of active movement therapy in the form of yoga exercises and cupping with a silicone cup on arm mobility after unilateral breast surgery, scar mobility, and the range of motion of the arms. Secondary endpoints: • Arm mobility (range of motion (ROM)), measured with a goniometer, • Tissue stiffness, measured with IndentoPRO • Tissue mobility in the scar area, measured with an adheremeter • Ability to perform certain activities, measured using the DASH questionnaire Tertiary objectives: Effect of active movement therapy on the subjective well-being and psychological resilience of the test subjects. Tertiary endpoints: • Emotional resilience/subjective well-being, measured using HRV (heart rate variability) and the DASH questionnaire | — |
