Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Very good written and spoken German language proficiency (questionnaires and verbal instructions); legally valid written informed consent to participate in the study; for patients in the schizophrenia group: diagnosis within the F20.X category according to ICD-10.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: no ongoing substance use; for healthy participants: clinical and anamnestic exclusion of comorbid neurological and relevant psychiatric disorders;

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary and secondary objectives Investigation of the sense of agency and intentional binding, incorporating multisensory perception, in patients with paranoid schizophrenia. Primary and secondary outcome measures Change in the estimated duration between different events.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Subjective sense of agency (Tapal et al., 2017); in participants with schizophrenia, psychotic and negative symptom burden assessed by the standardized Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS; Kay et al., 1987).
