Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Presence of at least one cochlear implant Age 18 years or older Initial fitting of the cochlear implant completed at least two weeks prior to participation Regularly scheduled follow-up appointment at the Hearing Center Düsseldorf during the study period Provision of written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No written informed consent provided by the participant Age below 18 years Insufficient German language proficiency that may impair understanding of the questionnaire and/or participation in the focus group interviews

MeasureTime frame
Arm 1: WHAT: Association between digital media use and digital health literacy and the perceived software quality of a digital hearing training system in adult cochlear implant users. WHEN: Assessed once within the retrospective analysis of previously collected study data. HOW: Analysis of data derived from a standardized questionnaire (UEQ – User Experience Questionnaire) and study-specific questionnaires (FgUX – usability questionnaire, FgDL – digital media use and technical experience). Arm 2: WHAT: Level of acceptance and motivation to use digital hearing training and remote care solutions among adult cochlear implant users. WHEN: Assessed once during prospective data collection within routine outpatient follow-up care. HOW: Assessed through focus group interviews and standardized questionnaires on motivation and technology adoption (ACTA – Autonomy and Competence in Technology Adoption), affinity for technology interaction (ATI), and digital health literacy (GR-eHEALS).
