Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals over 18 years of age with a clinical suspicion of, or otherwise confirmed diagnosis of, - Fuchs endothelial dystrophy - bullous keratopathy - keratoconus - ocular graft-versus-host disease - iris or choroidal melanoma - conjunctival neoplasia - corneal vascularization - keratitis The prerequisite is that the patients are capable of giving informed consent and agree to the procedure.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
In eye diseases associated with neurotrophic keratopathy, there is a rarefaction of the subbasal nerve plexus, as shown by corneal confocal microscopy. • CNFL (corneal nerve fiber length): length of all nerve fibers + branches mm/mm2 before and 3 and 12 months after intervention

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
• CNFD (corneal nerve fiber density): total number of major nerve fibers no/mm2 • CNBD (corneal nerve branch density): number of branches no/mm2 • DCF Dendritic cell with nerve fiber contact • DCP Dendritic cell without nerve fiber contact • NCF Non-dendritic cells with nerve fiber contact • NCP Non-dendritic cells without nerve fiber contact
