Group 1: Retrospective analysis of all blood samples sent to the Cental Laboratory between 09/2017 and 01/2025 with special focus on the samples flagged as haemolytic, icteric or lipemic by the labora

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Data analysis of blood samples sent to the Central Laboratory of the University Hospital Bonn between 09/2017 and 01/2025 from patient care.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Blood samples sent during the aforementioned time-frame if they were sent by external clinics (e.g. emergency testing) or sent by research departments.

Aim: Identification of the rate and distribution of haemolysis, icterus and lipemia as endogenous interferences by checking all blood samples sent to the Central Laboratory of the University Hospital Bonn between 09/2017 and 01/2025 with regards to the corresponding medical speciality and the part of the clinic (outpatients, regular ward and intensive care unit).	—
