Group 1: Retrospective analysis of all adult patients in whom an infection with SARS-CoV-2, RSV, or other respiratory viruses was detected as part of routine diagnostics at the Institute for Virology

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients with positive respiratory pathogen detection between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2025

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - No detetcion of a respiratory pathogen during this period by diagnostic PCR

Comparison of the clinical courses of RSV and SARS-CoV-2 infections in adult patients, including demographic, laboratory, clinical, and virological data. Assessment of disease burden and outcomes, with a particular focus on patients with relevant comorbidities, especially lung transplant recipients.	—
