MeasureTime frame
Due to the exploratory nature of the pilot study and the lack of prior evidence, no primary outcome is defined. The main focus is on exploring sex differences in underlying mechanisms and eating disorder symptomatology in individuals with eating disorders, including individuals from sexual and gender minority groups. Assessment is conducted using neuropsychological measures of impulsivity, emotion regulation, and cognitive flexibility, as well as standardized questionnaire scales assessing eating disorder pathology, body image, general psychopathology and the Minmum Data Set of the German Center for Mental Health. Interviews, in both German and English: - Standardized interview for eating disorder diagnosis: Eating Disorder Examination (German version, 2nd edition by Hilbert & Tuschen-Caffier, 2016; English version 17.0 by Fairburn et al., 2014) Questionnaires, in both German and English: - DiMIS (German and English version by Buspavanich et al., 2024) - BSRI-R (German version 4th edition 2011; English version by Geldenhuy & Bosch, 2020) - EDS (German and English version by Ulusoy et al., 2020) - EPSI (German version by Meule et al., 2025; English version by Forbush et al., 2013) - FKB-20 (German version by Clement & Löwe, 1996; English version by Lamadé et al., 2011) - PHQ-9 (German version by Löwe, 2015; English version by Spitzer et al., 2002) - BIS-15 (German version by Meule et al., 2011; English version by Spinella, 2007) - DERS-SF (English version by Kaufman et al., 2015; German version by Gutzweiler & In-Albon, 2018; only items from the short version are used) - BFI-2-XS (English version by Soto & John, 2017; German version by Danner et al., 2019; only items from the extra-short version are used) - DZPG Minimum Data Set which contains general questions about physical and mental health
