Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - subjects between the ages of 18 and 40 - Angle Class II (distal bite position) - No restrictions of the musculoskeletal system or upper respiratory tract on the day of the examination - Signed declaration of consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - subjects under the age of 18 - subjects with syndromic diseases and cleft lip, jaw, or palate - subjects with jaw joint replacement - Insufficient knowledge of the German language - Lack of capacity to give consent - Acute complaints or diseases of the musculoskeletal system or craniomandibular system - Injuries/surgeries of the musculoskeletal system or craniomandibular system within the last two years - Ongoing orthodontic, orthopedic, or physiotherapeutic treatment - Use of muscle relaxants or other medications that affect muscle tone or movement patterns - Acute or chronic infections of the upper respiratory tract (e.g., polyps or chronic sinusitis) - Structural abnormalities in the nose or throat (e.g., deviated septum) - Sleep-related breathing disorders

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary target variables are the posture parameters, which are recorded in three degrees of freedom (sagittal, frontal, and transverse planes) using either inertial motion analysis or optical methods, depending on the specific issue being investigated.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Secondary target variables for movement analysis include: orientation (degrees), position (mm), ground contact points (seconds) of body segments, and position data of the body's center of gravity. - When recording 4D upper body statics, the following measurement parameters are to be considered secondary target variables: pelvic torsion, shoulder torsion, height of the shoulder blades, height of the posterior anterior iliac spine, frontal and sagittal perpendicular of the spine, axial deviation, kyphosis and lordosis angles. - In planar pressure distribution, the following measurement parameters are to be regarded as secondary variables: average pressure load in the toe, ball, and heel areas, load on the longitudinal arch, gait line, force rate, and ground contact. - In addition, the following secondary parameters of upper airway ventilation are recorded: nasal airflow per nostril, oral airflow (if present), and the temporal course of respiratory flows in flow curves.
