Group 1: Clinical and radiographic analysis of first metatarsophalangeal joint arthrodeses performed between 2012 and 2018.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients who underwent first metatarsophalangeal joint fusion between 2012 and 2018.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with fusion procedures of other foot joints Revision surgeries Missing informed consent Pregnancy

Primary

Measure	Time frame
The primary outcome measure is the radiographic change in the degree of osteoarthritis from preoperative to postoperative status in the joints adjacent to the first metatarsophalangeal joint (interphalangeal joint, first tarsometatarsal joint, first naviculocuneiform joint, talonavicular joint). Osteoarthritis severity is graded according to the Kellgren & Lawrence classification (0–4). The assessment is based on the preoperative radiographs obtained for surgical planning and the radiographs taken at the time of follow-up.	—
