| The aim of the study is to retrospectively evaluate data recorded in the patient files of patients who underwent free flap surgery on the head, trunk, or extremities due to a skin/soft tissue defect at the BG Unfallklinik Tübingen between January 2017 and August 2024. Patient-related data such as gender, age, insurance status, length of hospital stay, and consumption of luxury foods are evaluated. Furthermore, it is determined whether the patient has one or more pre-existing vascular diseases. Subsequently, the cause, size, and location of the defect treated are evaluated, and all operations are recorded in terms of duration, type of flap plastic surgery, and other surgical details. Specific blood values such as Hb and coagulation parameters are also recorded. If complications arose during the inpatient stay, these are also evaluated with regard to renewed surgical treatment. | — |
