Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Voluntary participation Capacity to provide informed consent Signed informed consent form 2 days of alcohol abstinence prior to the drinking experiment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Current or past drug and/or alcohol dependence Infectious or chronic diseases (especially liver diseases) Pregnancy or breastfeeding Interaction of alcohol with current medication Known allegy or intolerance to nickel, plastics, or disinfectants

MeasureTime frame
Optimization and validation of an NIR method for determining blood alcohol concentration using NIR measurements at the fingertip of the index finger. The transferability of a generated chemometric/mathematical calculation model from one subject to others will be investigated. Transferability can, for example, be assessed based on accuracy and precision. Comparison of alcohol concentrations measured with the NIR spectrometer with clinically determined alcohol concentrations in breath and blood.
