Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Retrospective cohort: Patients with metastatic prostate cancer who were enrolled in the “Oli-P” study at the trial center of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology at the C. G. Carus Dresden University Hospital (EK 194052014, according to the 1st amendment (EK consultation result dated February 2, 2016)), in the “Oli-CR-P” study (EK 194052014, according to the 1st amendment (EK consultation result of February 2, 2016)), the “Oli-CR-P” study (EK 113032019), or the “Poly-CR-P” study defined as the 1st cohort (BO-EK-88022022, according to the 1st amendment (EK consultation result of March 28, 2023)) and from whom blood samples were collected as part of the study until September 30, 2025. Prospective Cohort: Patients with metastatic prostate cancer who are being treated for their cancer at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Radiation Therapy and Radio-Oncology at the C. G. Carus University Hospital in Dresden and who give their written consent to the prospective collection of blood samples and data for the present study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • age < 18 yrs • No consent for the use of existing biomaterials and data (retrospective) or for study participation (prospective)

• Analysis of dynamic changes in the expression levels of proteins (including MMP11) in samples from patients with metastatic prostate cancer prior to treatment and after radiation therapy, as well as their correlation with clinical parameters (including Gleason score, TNM status, PSA level, location of metastases, progression, and therapy) • Determination of the potential of these proteins (including MMP11) as possible prognostic biomarkers and regulators of progression and metastasis formation
